First year overseas
Coach Tony has worked with over 1,000 kids and counting as a player developer, AAU coach, and mentor. He has trained boys and girls from all over New England and Europe, ranging in ages from 3-17. He also currently trains D1, D2 and D3 players, as well as a few Pro players.
Coach Tony currently plays Semi-Professional for the Worcester 78’s (American Basketball Association) and is top 3 in the country in scoring (34ppg). For the past 4 years Tony has dominated both the ABA and PBL, leading his teams in scoring, assists and steals most years. From 2012-2014, Tony played professionally in The Netherlands where his team won the Dutch Cup. After his season in Holland, he went on to play for the Saint John Millrats in Canada.
Coach Tony began his college career at Umass Lowell (D2). Unhappy about not meeting his D1 dream, he left Lowell after the first semester. He ended up 3,000 miles away at Cabrillo College, a Junior College in Santa Cruz, California. He started for Cabrillo, scoring over 1,000 points in 2 years, first team all conference, and top 5 in scoring in the state. He soon earned his D1 scholarship to Coppin State, and took full advantage of the opportunity. His senior year he was the leading scorer on his team, and second in the conference. But he really showed up during the big games. He averaged over 20ppg against the likes of UConn (national champs), Kentucky, Texas, Illinois, just to name a few. In High School he played for Lynn Tech and was two time MVP of his league. He was also Boston Herald and Boston Globe All Scholastic and a McDonald’s All American Nominee.
